The UPS or uninterruptible power supply in your office is not the first piece of equipment you think of as a potential hack risk but it has been shown to be possible. The Register recently highlighted a group of security vulnerabilities in the Eaton UPS 9PX 8000 SP in their weekly Roundup of Security News. These three flaws on the Eaton web interface, discovered by Managing Security Associate Florian Nivette and Security Analyst Kelly Albrink, could allow hackers to steal login credentials or leave users vulnerable to cross-site scripting.
